Gameplay:
Climbing is inherently dangerous, so play at your own risk.
Divide the deck into action cards and color cards. Remove any colors that aren't on the climbing wall.
The reader starts by turning over 4 color cards. The player(s) choose any 4 starting holds (2 hands, 2 feet) using those colors.
The reader shuffles the color cards back into the deck.
Once the player(s) are established on the starting holds, the reader flips over a color card and an action card and reads them aloud (e.g., "heel hook blue").
The player(s) move according to the color and action. The reader sets the pace for the game.
This process continues until the player(s) fall.
Happy climbing!
Rules:
House rules are encouraged!
There is 1 reader and as many players as your climbing wall can accommodate.
When making a move, if an unrelated hand or foot comes off a hold, it must remain off all holds until it is called into play. Smearing is allowed.
A hand or foot must change holds at each call. If a hand or foot is already on the color called, it must still be moved.
Players must establish each move before the next cards are read. If a player fails to do so, that hand or foot is off until it is called back into play.
